h universities have taken an intrest in storing research data in the ‘cloud’. It is possible to arrange the storage of that kind of data in a common environment, hosted by an institution. That is a conclusion of the project Podium Plus, financed by SURFfoundation and executed by the University of utrecht between September 2010 and June 2011. The project found that universities that use Dataverse-software are able to archive and disclose data. In the future, this software can be used as a front portal for durable storage of research data in long-term archives, supported by e.g. DANS and the 3TU Datacentrum.
