On November 17th, the National Carillon and natural history museum in Asten (NL) hosted the ceremony of the Visser-Neerlandia award. In the presence of almost 200 people, Flemish Minister of Culture Joke Schauvliege handed the award to Luc Rombouts. The Visser-Neerlandia award was granted to Rombouts as recognition for his book about the history of Carillon music in the Low Countries and for his merits regarding the promotion of Carillon culture in Flanders, the Low Countries and international. Luc Rombouts is the carilloneur of the university carillon, which can be found in the tower of the Central Library.
